My final project for the 2nd (last) year of my UAL level 3 extended diploma in general art and design is based on the theme of ‘Icons’. In response to this theme, I created my own god character called Hel, serving as a metaphor for big tech companies, who is taking the place of God in my own Christian religious iconography. With the entire project serving as a commentary on our worship of modern day culture (tech to be specific) pictured through the lens of religious icons. My 2 final pieces being fake stained-glass, to mimic the stained-glass windows typically seen in churches.
