This Project details the creation of my original character, Hel, for my project Modern Day Gods, my final project in my General Art and Design Extended Diploma, which earned me an overall high-merit. Hel is by all means a robot god, with her design being primarily inspired by Hel from the 1927 movie metropolis, where Hel is a robot on a desperate quest for power. Hel (my character)'s symbolic fashion is inspired by Jesus Christ, and the sun. This is because my wider project, Modern Day Gods, uses Hel as a robotic stand-in for worshipped figures and ideas as a commentary on humanities worship on technology.
